Over 17 years, the service has grown immensely. Just a handful of people were supported in 2008, to over 230 people in 2019. We have a great reputation in the city of Plymouth and surrounding areas, and receive referrals from many professionals, statutory and voluntary services, as well as self-referrals and recommendations from previous service users.
A testimony from a former client (given with permission) says it all:
You threw me a lifejacket when I was drowning, and helped me keep my head above the water. You are lights in a dark place, and the world so needs you.”

We are an independent charity, we are not part of the NHS or funded by local authority.
We receive one-off grant funding from Trusts and Foundations across the UK through ongoing applications.
This year we raised £12k from two fundraising events, thank you for your support.

We have been very excited to have been supported by The National Lottery Community Fund for three years, from 2022. This grant has enabled us to improve our capacity, work to reduce waiting times, develop new services and reach more people in the Plymouth and surrounding areas. So watch this space as we continue to grow our work and support more people in need.
